01 / COURSE EXPERIENCE

EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE. STRENGTHEN YOUR SKILLS.

01

CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE

Expand foundational emergency medical knowledge, including anatomy, physiology, medical emergencies, and clinical decision-making at the EMT-1 level. Instruction may be delivered in person or through a combination of online and classroom learning.

02

ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT

Strengthen patient assessment and treatment skills, including airway management, medical emergencies, trauma care, and ongoing patient reassessment. Practical skills are completed through instructor-led training.

03

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Apply course knowledge through in-person skills practice, realistic patient scenarios, team-based exercises, and final competency evaluations.

02 / CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITY

TWO ENTRY PATHWAYS. ONE NEXT STEP.

The EMT-1 Bridge course provides an educational pathway for eligible students with previous EMR or ETT training seeking to advance toward Alaska EMT-1 certification.

ALASKA EMT-1

Building upon prior EMR or ETT education, students develop additional knowledge, assessment skills, and emergency treatment capabilities associated with Alaska EMT-1 training.

Prior EMR or ETT education, applicable credentials, and course prerequisites must be verified before enrollment. TacLine's planned 50-hour EMR/ETT foundation plus this 90-hour bridge totals 140 instructional hours, subject to approval of the complete educational pathway. Course completion does not automatically confer certification. Students must meet applicable Alaska certification, examination, and eligibility requirements.
